Britney Spears -- never the world's greatest driver -- got pulled over by Beverly Hills cops for speeding Friday night, but got off with just a warning.

Brit was driving along Sunset Boulevard around 8:45 PM, reports People, when the police asked her to pull over. But no worries for the pop star -- "She was warned about her speed and let go. "She was not cited," said a Beverly Hills police rep.

Spears had been doing more dance workouts at the Millennium Dance Studio and, according to the mag, had been in the recording studio with brief-boytoy JR Rotem.

Lindsay Lohan Hates Sleeping Alone

Lindsay Lohan has issues. Obviously. One such issue is her self-confessed fear of being alone, and, in particular, sleeping alone. Well, that explains a lot. The constant attention seeking, partying and sleeping around are Lindsay's way of avoiding her fear of being alone, and she pretty much says that very thing in the new issue of Nylon Magazine.

"I'm at the point where...oh my God...I'm going to go out! I work hard enough and I know how to take care of myself. I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. I will say, though, that it's so much harder to stay sober in New York. Though it's hard in L.A. not to go out, it gets lonely. Being an actress is lonely, and I never want to be alone. I hate sleeping alone."

Britney's Tell-All Book?

Britney Spears is allegedly planning to write a tell-all book that will blame everyone but Britney for Britney's numerous shortcomings and failures, but mostly her mom and Justin Timberlake?

"Britney blames most of her problems with drugs and alcohol on the heartache she experienced years before, during her time with Justin (Timberlake) - she couldn't trust him. I hear she's going to say she believes he constantly lied to her about other girls and that destroyed her self-esteem. She also felt he became mean toward the end of their relationship, she said he called her fat and told her she'd need to lose weight before he would have sex with her."

Sources also claim the book may reveal the singer and mother-of-two contemplated suicide when she realised husband Kevin Federline was using her for fame and money.

A source said: "His womanising, his wild spending, the verbal abuse he hurled at her when he thought their marriage was coming to an end. Britney will say he deliberately tried to drive her crazy. She feels Kevin just pretended to love her for the money and a music career. When that sunk in, she was so heartbroken that she wanted to kill herself."

The book will also allegedly expose Britney's mother, 51-year-old Lynne, as the person she blames the most for everything that has gone wrong in her life.

The source said: "Britney will call her a 'stage mom from hell' and blame her for almost every ill in her life. "She'll say Lynne's money hungry and that she was just along for the free ride. Britney thinks of her as a meddling, smothering person and blames her for her messy marriages."

Hilary Duff Death Threat

With a second attempt on her life in less than three months, it seems that actress Hilary Duff’s crappy music inspires murderous rage the world over. According to Canada.com:

Police officers moved quickly to take down a man who allegedly threatened to kill pop star Hilary Duff during her appearance on a Canadian TV show. Duff was being interviewed Tuesday by MuchMusic when a man in the crowd outside the studio started shouting at the 19-year-old star.

According to an eyewitness, the unidentified man vowed to kill Duff, prompting several police officers to tackle him. “The cops slammed his face into the pavement,” said photographer Todd Gillis, who witnessed the incident. “He was bleeding.”

Reese Witherspoon Isn't GLAAD

Reese Witherspoon, who's supposedly been "dating" Jake Gyllenhaal for the past two months, is reportedly furious after Jake shared a kiss and a long embrace with Jennifer Aniston as he presented her with a GLAAD Vanguard Award earlier this month. As source says:

It wasn't just a polite peck on the cheek. There was definitely feeling in that embrace. When Reese heard about it, she broke down in tears asking, 'Why would he do that?' She is very unhappy about it...She always thought Jake was intelligent and charming. That's why she's so stunned by the photographs of Jake and Jen. She's really hurt by what she's seen. They seem to be very explicit and everyone knows Jennifer's looking for love."

JLo Whores Herself Out

JLo is reportedly being paid $2 million to sing at a 30th birthday party that a Russian tycoon is throwing for his wife.

Andrei Melnichenko, a 35-year-old Russian banker, is flying Lopez to the U.K. to entertain his model wife, Aleksandra, and her 60 guests at their home for her birthday bash, according to various overseas reports.

The tab is said to be $1.2 million fee, plus $800,000 for Lopez and her entourage’s expenses. Melnichenko’s personal fortune is reportedly close to $5 billion.

“Andrei and Aleksandra are both very great fans of J. Lo, so Andrei put the call in and personally put the offer to [Lopez,]” a source told London’s Daily Mail. “She accepted immediately. She will sing for about 40 minutes — not bad money for the work.”

A London spokesman for the tycoon would say only: “This is strictly a private party for close friends and family.”

Katie Holmes' Missing Days

MSNBC says that Katie Holmes is using her recent time alone on her new film to re-connect with family and old friends and reclaim parts of her life that she gave up after she met Tom Cruise. Although this is significant, what really intrigues me a report I stumbled across by Fox News that chronicles a few mysterious days when the two hooked up.

The newly engaged Katie Holmes still has some explaining to do to her friends and family. There were 16 days in April during which no one seems to know where she was.

Holmes made a public appearance on April 4 at the premiere of "Steel Magnolias" on Broadway. She came with her publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, and a couple of other friends. They were there to support Rebecca Gayheart, who was making her Broadway debut. I know this because I spoke to Holmes at length during the play's intermission. She said she had just moved into her New York apartment and was looking forward to seeing the city.

I also know that on April 4, she had not yet made the acquaintance of Tom Cruise. She briefly dated Josh Hartnett after breaking up with actor Chris Klein. Hartnett, Klein, Cruise: Which of these three is not like the others? Klein and Hartnett are young and tall. Cruise is middle-aged and height-challenged. On the other hand, he's the biggest movie star in the world. They are not.

Holmes was busy during that first week in April. On April 7, she was photographed at the Fragrance Foundation's FiFi event. Four days later, Holmes was still in New York and was photographed at VH1's "Save the Music" concert. She still had not met Cruise. Sometime that week, her friends say, she flew to Los Angeles for a meeting with Cruise about a role in "Mission: Impossible 3." The meeting took place after April 11. The next time anyone heard from Holmes was on April 27, when she appeared in public as Cruise's girlfriend and love of his life.

Where was she during those 16 days?

Somewhere during that time, she decided to fire both her manager and agent, each of whom she had been with for years and who were devoted to her. The manager, John Carrabino, also handles Renée Zellweger and is beloved by his clients. Holmes also acquired a new best friend, Jessica Feshbach, the daughter of Joe Feshbach, a controversial Palo Alto, Calif., bond trader. The Feshbach family, according to published documents, has donated millions to the Church of Scientology. Jessica's aunt even runs a Scientology center in Florida.

According to Richard Behar's now famous 1991 story in Time magazine about Scientology, the Feshbachs were the subject of congressional hearings in 1989.

Behar wrote: "The heads of several companies claimed that Feshbach operatives have spread false information to government agencies and posed in various guises — such as a Securities and Exchange Commission official — in an effort to discredit the companies and drive the stocks down.

"Michael Russell, who ran a chain of business journals, testified that a Feshbach employee called his bankers and interfered with his loans. Sometimes the Feshbachs send private detectives to dig up dirt on firms, which is then shared with business reporters, brokers and fund managers."

The risk-taking Feshbachs, known the world over for making their fortune "shorting" stocks, and the level-headed, conservative Holmeses would be a difficult mix at a dinner table. Katie's father, Martin Holmes, is the senior partner in a large and respected Toledo, Ohio, law firm. His son, Martin Jr., has recently joined the firm. He's a Harvard graduate. Katie's mom, Kathy, is frequently cited in Toledo for her charity work. There is some fear among Holmes' close circle that her instant romance with Cruise is not as organic as portrayed.

For one thing, Holmes was raised a strict Catholic. Also, gone from the picture are two close Holmes friends who used to be with her when she did publicity for a film. One of these is Meghann Birie, a childhood friend who has suddenly disappeared from Holmes' world. Another, a local TV producer here in New York, was too afraid to discuss the situation with me. We know that Cruise auditioned several actresses for this role before settling on Holmes. This column reported a story about Jennifer Garner. There have been published stories about Kate Bosworth, Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Alba being approached.

A newer one involves Scarlett Johansson, who ran for her life when presented with a fait accompli dinner at the Scientology Celebrity Centre in Hollywood. And history has been rewritten since the April 27 unveiling.

Curiously, since the Cruise-Holmes situation popped up, we have heard over and over again that Cruise was the young actress' idol when she was growing up. That's certainly interesting because all of the publicity that used to run on Holmes — still found all over the Internet — lists another Tom as her favorite actor. That would be Tom Hanks.

Why is it that anytime I read something about Tom Cruise I hear the theme from the X-files in the background? This guy is just down right bizarre and sinister - and in Hollywood, that's saying something.

Lindsay Tries Girls

Los Angeles - Lindsay Lohan is rumoured to be having a lesbian affair.

The ‘Mean Girls’ star – who is currently in Japan for a fashion shoot – is said to be more than just friends with DJ Samantha Ronson, who has accompanied her on her trip.

Former publicist Jonathan Jaxson wrote in his blog: “Lindsay actually has always been quite open. Maybe she was tired of the boys and that is why she decided to spice it up with BFF Samantha Ronson.

“Now I would have no bad things to say about either if Samantha wasn’t deeply involved in alcohol and drugs. Not the best influence for a rehabbed Lindsay Lohan.”

Jaxson claims Lindsay and Samantha’s fledgling same-sex romance has been confirmed by his sources.

"Entourage" Filmed At Porn Pad

Insiders have learned that the television show "Entourage" is using uber porn star Ron Jeremy's Los Angeles apartment for production during their new season, and they're paying him $500 dollars a day for the curious privilege.

Jeremy explained, "They are using both of my balconies."

He also described how the crew from the hit show cleaned over five years of bird droppings from his balconies! Yes, bird droppings.

"They invited me to come and watch several tapings, and they even fed me," Jeremy added. It's always good to feed your porn stars.

The cast and crew has been there for a few weeks, and we're told that, er, shooting will continue for a couple more months at the porny digs.

Natalie Portman Open To Lesbian Fling

Actress Natalie Portman wouldn't mind embarking on a lesbian relationship, for the simple reason that she doesn't want to disconnect herself from half of the world population.

The 'Star Wars' star said that she doesn't understand why anyone would want to cut off from 50 percent of the people.

"Why would you close yourself off from 50 per cent of people," Contactmusic quoted Portman, as saying.

The actress added that she hasn't tried dating a woman, and that a relationship is all about the person one falls in love with.

"I've never dated a woman or anything like it, but I think it's much more about the person you fall in love with," she added.

Prince William And Kate Middleton Split Up

Prince William has split from his girlfriend Kate Middleton, sources confirm.

The breakup was "amicable," according to a friend of the couple. The prince, 24, and Middleton, 25, have been dating for nearly five years, after meeting at St. Andrews University in Scotland.

A spokesman at the prince's office at Clarence House says they will not be commenting. "We don't comment on Prince William's private life," the rep says. Britain's The Sun newspaper first reported Saturday that the pair had reached an "amicable agreement" to separate.

The pair are said to have grown increasingly independent of each other since their university days. William is currently taking an armored corps commander course in Dorset, around 125 miles west of London, and it has kept him from Middleton and her new life in London.

Middleton, who is an accessories buyer for the British fashion chain Jigsaw, also was having difficulties with the media pressure that came with being his long-term girlfriend. (Speculation continued over whether the couple would get engaged.)

Although she has been "brave," as one friend explains, the attention was an ongoing source of trouble. Earlier this month she won a public apology from a British newspaper after it printed a photograph of her heading to work.

The engagement talk peaked in December, when she appeared at his graduation from military college, sitting in a prominent seat along with her parents and two of his closest friends.

You see now this cracks me up. Here they were urging everyone especially the media to stay away from her and not to take pics of her, yet in the end nothing came of it. So if I was paparazzo I’s be telling them all to get stuffed! There's no way they could now tell them to stay away next time.

Justin Phoned Britney?

Justin Timberlake was so concerned about Britney Spears, who entered rehab in February, that he reached out to her, he has revealed.

"I called her because I worried about her," Timberlake, 26, said recently at a press day for his new movie Shrek The Third.

But Spears, who checked out of Malibu's Promises treatment center in March after nearly a month, is on the right track, Timberlake said.

"She's a great woman. I'm rooting for her," he said. "[It] seems like she's getting everything under control now."

Timberlake, who in January split with Cameron Diaz (his costar in Shrek, who also attended the press day), said being single has its ups and downs.

"The advantages are that you don't get in as many arguments, and the disadvantage is that you're talking to yourself," he said.

But he isn't exactly lonely. Timberlake spent time with Jessica Biel, 25, at a barbecue party at his L.A. house last week, insiders report. And things between the pair got "hot and heavy," says a source in the singer's circle.

This isn't the first time Timberlake and Biel have been spotted together: In January they went snowboarding with a group of friends in Park City, Utah, and hung out backstage at one of Timberlake's concerts in San Diego.

And at Prince's Golden Globes party that month, Timberlake and Diaz had a spat after Diaz saw Timberlake chatting with Biel. As for Biel, when it comes to Timberlake, a source tells sources the actress is "crazy about him."

New Book Hits Nerve With Katie Holmes

Is "Hollywood Car Wash" -- the new novel about a young TV star from the Midwest who enters into a "contracted relationship" -- about Katie Holmes?

Various blogs have reported that Holmes got a copy of the book from a friend and is "furious" over it. When asked if Katie received the book, author Lori Culwell played it close to the vest.

"I do know someone who knows her right now and might have given her the book," Culwell explained, "I can't discuss any relationship with Katie Holmes, but I am sorry that she's upset about the book."

On her lawyer's advice, Culwell wouldn't tell us whether or not she knows Holmes, but she does maintain the book is "all based on real stories," and that "the main character is based on a person that is never, ever going to talk to me again."

"Hollywood Car Wash" is Culwell's debut novel, about a girl who lands a TV pilot and is forced to lose weight and completely change her appearance to be more marketable -- including "new teeth, blonder hair, and a megastar boyfriend with a big secret."

Holmes' rep, Ina Treciokas, flatly denies the rumors saying, "Katie never heard of this book, never read it and doesn't know the author."

The book has even drawn attention from a few film studios. "Three production companies are reading it for adaptation now," Culwell told us, before slyly adding, "And maybe Katie Holmes would like to play the main character."

Scarlett And Ryan Hook Up

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds spent a busy weekend in New York City together.

On Saturday night, the pair were seen getting close at the Manhattan restaurant Odeon. "They were in a good mood," says one eyewitness who saw them laughing and smiling.

"They were definitely holding hands," says another observer. "They were a cute couple!"


Johansson, 22, who is a New York native, and Reynolds, 30, who ended his engagement to Alanis Morissette in February, also spent Easter together.

The pair, who were with a group of pals, arrived at the Carlyle hotel around 4 p.m. Sunday for the $135 prix fixe lunch.

The whole group "was having a blast," says one witness. "It looked like a group of friends. I don't even think they were celebrating Easter."

Reynolds's rep had no comment when reached while Johansson's rep does not comment on his client's personal life.

Johansson recently told Seventeen she's single and not looking for love.

"When I'm single, I don't focus. I focus on a guy if he's a boyfriend, but I don't focus on finding a boyfriend," she said.

Tara Conner Kept On A Tight Leash

The New York Post reports that Tara Conner's on probation.

MISS USA Tara Conner is out of rehab, but Donald Trump and the Miss Universe Organization are keeping a tight leash on her.

"She is not allowed to go to clubs anymore," dished the spy, "and she has a lot of new rules for going out." A spokesperson for Miss USA said, "Plans to move to a bigger apartment with a chaperone have been in the works for months, and Tara is free to go wherever she wants."

Britney Knows How To Pick 'Em

Britney's reported new rehab man, singer Howie Day, isn't exactly the face of a healthy relationship ... if his police record is any indication of what type of support he'll be on Brit's bewigged road to recovery. The duo met at Promises rehab and are now said to be having a spring fling.

Day was arrested in Wisconsin in 2004 for locking a woman in the bathroom of a tour bus after she refused his sexual advances. He pleaded no contest to a charge of disorderly conduct.



A year later, Howie was arrested at Boston's Logan Airport for harrassing flight attendants while on a flight from Dallas and was eventually ordered to one year's probation as part of a plea deal.

Natalie Gets Hit With The Law!

Jude Law and Natalie Portman were spotted getting ‘friendly’ at the wrap part of thier upcoming film causing tongues to start wagging about the couple being more than just friends. Natalie and Jude go way back, all the way to Cold Mountain and Closer and have just finished work on My Blueberry Nights.

A source for the UK Daily Mail is reported as saying”Jude thinks she’s beautiful and they get along very well.’” The source added that Jude has “always had a soft spot for Natalie. Lara Bingle Proceeds With Zoo Lawsuit

Sydney model Lara Bingle will proceed with her lawsuit against Zoo Weekly for publishing shots of her in a bikini, even though she appeared nude in Germany's GQ magazine.


Her manager Priscilla Leighton-Clark, the owner of Priscilla Model Management in Potts Point, said the nude pictures, taken when she was 17, are a separate issue to the court case against Zoo Weekly.

She said the sale of the nude photos was a betrayal of trust.

"This is a case where the photographer has again sold a picture without the model's consent. That's the issue here," she said.

"Lara did a test with a photographer. He lulled the family into a false sense of security," Leighton-Clark said.

The photographer Gavin O'Neill could not be reached for comment.

"She thought that he was a friend, that he's a good photographer and that he was going to take these beautiful shots. He has sold them knowing it goes completely against her wishes."

Leighton-Clark said "test shots" are common place in the industry, where models and photographers build a rapport to see if they can work together.

The pictures are then blown up and put in the model's and photographer's portfolios, if they like them.

She said the photographer consults the agent if a magazine wishes to buy the shots, and in this case, that didn't happen.

"When a girl gets famous in this fickle world of fame, then the photographer goes right ahead and sells pictures and the smuttier the pictures, the better," she said.

"He's cashing in. He has betrayed Lara and her family.

"I believe O'Neill seriously pushed the boundaries. Lara was very young, though she was older than 16."

Lara Bingle is in London for the Dancing on Ice show and is apparently "devastated" about yesterday's ferry crash. She had trained at the Cantebury ice skating rink.

Bingle, who plugged Australia in the "Where the bloody hell are you?" tourism campaign is suing Zoo Weekly for defamation, misleading conduct and breach of copyright after it used photographs of her in a bikini on a beach after she turned down their requests for a nude shoot.

Bingle claims the spread defamed her by implying she consented to pose in a G-string bikini for a smutty men's magazine, was the sort of model who would invite readers to achieve sexual pleasure from her photographs; and was prepared to demean herself for money by being photographed scantily clad for a smutty men's magazine.

She also claims Zoo engaged in misleading conduct by representing she had posed topless for the magazine and had said, "I'll make you come", words contained in a speech bubble on one of the photographs.

In response, the magazine's publisher, Emap Australia, said: "Emap rejects completely the allegations made by Lara Bingle and will defend this claim with the utmost vigour."

Christina Aguilera Busted Lip-Syncing

Christina Aguilera has infuriated fans by reportedly lip-syncing at a New York concert last Friday in a gig plagued by 'technical problems'.


Audiences at the Madison Square Garden show were alerted to the possibility that the Dirrty singer might have been miming through the entire set when she encountered undisclosed technical problems.

The blonde star's manager Irving Azoff admitted there were some sound-related problems during the show, but did not comment on the allegations that Christina was lip-syncing.

He said: "Miss Aguilera is one of the most talented vocalists to ever grace the stage.

"However, we did have a technical problem with the sound equipment at the Garden."

The 26-year-old singer - who is married to music marketing executive Jordan Bratman - had so far received rave reviews for her Back to Basics North American tour.

Rod Stewart's son Sean has confessed he used to lust over his former step-mother Rachel Hunter.


The son of the British rocker has admitted he was mesmerised by the sight of the beautiful model sunbathing naked in their garden when he was a teenager.

Sean told US radio DJ Howard Stern: "I used to stare at her when she was down by the pool sunbathing naked. I was like 15 or 16 and I was sitting in my pool with a bottle of lotion."

But the 25-year-old said he never made a move on his step-mom because he knew she would turn him down.

He said: "I couldn't handle the full rejection."

Asked if he thought Rachel - who is 12 years his senior - might have actually been open to his advances Sean said: "Maybe. It's Hollywood, you never know what could happen!"
