Charlie Sheen Goes To Rehab
Charlie Sheen's rep announced Tuesday that the Two and a Half Men star will take a break from the hit tv show to enter a rehabilitation facility again, just a fortnight after his wife, Brooke Mueller, did the same thing.
"As a preventative measure, Charlie Sheen has entered a rehabilitation facility," Sheen's publicist, Stan Rosenfield, said in a a statement. "He will take some time off his series Two and a Half Men. He has asked that his privacy be honored."
The couple made headlines on Christmas Day (2009) after an argument erupted at their Colorado holiday home, with Sheen being arrested for felony menacing and misdemeanor charges of third-degree assault and criminal mischief after he allegedly threatened her with a knife.
"CBS, Warner Bros. Television and [executive producer] Chuck Lorre support Charlie Sheen in his decision today to begin voluntary inpatient care at a treatment centre," a statement from CBS, producers of Sheen's show, said.
"We wish him nothing but the best as he deals with this personal matter."
