Ashlee Simpson vs. Michelle Trachtenberg?

Ashlee Simpson had a couple of things to say to Gossip Girl’s Michelle Trachtenberg at Monday night’s DJ Hero event - but reports that Simpson was screaming insults and almost got physical are not true, claims her rep.

The girls and Simpson’s husband Pete Wentz - Trachtenberg’s ex - were seated in the same VIP section at Monday’s DJ Hero event. where Eminem and Jay-Z performed.

The night began innocently enough, with the trio chatting pleasantly for 20 minutes.

Then, according to Perez Hilton, Simpson had one drink too many, and began to give Wentz a lap dance. “She was staring directly at Michelle and starting hurling insults at her,” Perez claims he was told by a source. “She was grinding up on Pete like a stripper.”

However, according to Simpson’ rep, the exchange wasn’t so heated.

“It was just a misunderstanding,” the publicist tells E! News.

“Ashlee has since apologized to Michelle, and they remain on good terms.”

- yeah right.

No Punch In The Face For Paris

Paris Hilton has denied reports that she was punched in the face on Tuesday night while at a Los Angeles club saying, “It’s so not true.”

Hilton was at the Coco de Ville club with her sister Nicky and some friends when the alleged altercation occurred.

“It’s so not true,” Hilton told E! News. “I had a great time last night and didn’t even have an argument with anyone. I don’t know where they come up with this stuff.”

The heiress adds, “It’s a completely made-up story,” saying she thinks the rumor was “Maybe publicity for the club. It was my first time there, so I think someone just put that story out there so the place would get a bunch of press.”

Paris and Elisha Cuthbert Make Out in Club!

Paris Hilton and actress Elisha Cuthbert were reported to be "all over each other and making out" at New York's Tenjune club Tuesday night.

"Who knew?" says the source of the unlikely pairing.

Hilton, 26, and Cuthbert, 25 (who costarred in 2005's House of Wax), didn't arrive at Tenjune together but certainly got friendly in a corner of the club. Hilton was there for a birthday party and was seen dancing on banquets.

"It's Paris," says the source. "She loves putting on a show."

Earlier in the evening, Hilton attended the BlackBerry Pink Pearl Launch Party. "And she was actually super well behaved and even took the time to take some photos with the BlackBerry executives," an attendee explained.

A rep for Cuthbert denies the incident.

Well of course they do. What, do you really expect her people to come out and say, “Oh yeah, the girls had some fun during the night, indulged in some coke, before swapping spit and playing tonsil tennis on the dance floor and bathroom...” Duh.

Avril Goes Commando

Paris Hilton and Avril Lavigne surprised onlookers recently by acting like best buddies at a nightclub, with Avril shocking bystanders by announcing she'd copied Paris's famous habit of going commando.

"I have no underwear on!" screamed Avril as she and Paris hit the dance floor at the launch party for Club Goa in LA.

While Avril sported trousers instead of the short skirts Paris favoured at the height of her undie-free era, the pop-grunge singer's dance floor declaration still had fellow club-goers wondering just what could have brought these two party gals together.

As Paris's renewed partying spree continues, she is keen to drag others into her world alongside her.

But few onlookers expected rich heiress Paris, 26, to bond with grunge princess Avril, 23, whose polished but gritty style contrasts with Paris's bubbly personality and love of girlie pink clothes.

The budding friendship is especially surprising given the long-standing feud between the two blondes, who famously fell out in 2004 when Avril began dating rocker Deryck Whibley, now her husband, less than a year after he dated Paris.

The row was still simmering away earlier this year, when Avril made a thinly veiled swipe at Paris by publicly slamming "people who are famous who haven't done anything".

"They're just famous for being at Hollywood clubs or for dating people," Avril sniped, adding, "Really, I feel kind of bad for them."

But the war of words seemed all but forgotten as the two kicked up their heels at the LA venue and bonded over drinks.

According to insiders, Avril hopes her friendship with the outgoing blonde socialite will improve her own spiralling public image. With fans recently turning on the Canadian pop star for her late appearances on stage and surly attitude, Avril knows it's time she did some repair work, and thinks befriending Paris may be the perfect strategy.

"She's aware of the backlash," says a source, "and thinks people like Paris are well received."

Suspicions were also raised after Avril started trying to curry favour with Paris's good friend, actress Elisha Cuthbert, after a chance meeting at a party made her realise how popular Elisha is.

"Now, she's been calling Elisha nonstop trying to meet up," says a source.

Kate Hudson Is Easy

Forget Dax Shephard; Kate Hudson has moved on to a number of actual movie stars. Hudson, having dumped funnyman Shephard, was linked to Dane Cook, AND Orlando Bloom recently, but Thursday night she only had eyes for Heath Ledger. Spies at Beatrice Inn said they spent their evening at the trendy watering hole "kissing and making out."

A rep for Hudson said, "This is absolutely untrue. They ran into each other and chatted briefly, but that was the extent of it."

But spies there vehemently insist on the liplock.

Ashley Olsen And Lance Armstrong?

Ashley Olsen has a new, older man. The 21-year-old twin showed up to the Rose Bar at the Gramercy Park Hotel Monday night with Tory Burch's ex, Lance Armstrong, 36.

A bar spy said, "They came together with a group of friends. Ashley drank red wine, sat on his lap and they were making out all night. They left together around 2a.m."

Armstrong has been spending more time in town since he bought a home in New York.

Another source said, "He tried to make Tory happy when they were dating by buying a place here, but she couldn't deal with him not actually living in the same city, so they broke up."

Lindsay Gets Booted From Hotel

Lindsay Lohan allegedly made such a scene at the Soho Grand she was asked to leave the hotel. Calum Best checked into the hotel with another woman and, shortly after, Lindsay checked in with another guy to try and make him jealous. She then went out partying until 1:30am and when she got back she collapsed in the lobby and had to be carried back to her room by the hotel manager. A source says:

“She was writhing on the floor and everyone could see that she wasn’t wearing any panties,” an insider told the tab.

Lohan then repeatedly telephoned Best’s room, and at one point went to his door and banged on it. When he answered the door though, Lindsay peeked inside and saw the other woman in there.

“She went cuckoo,” a source told the tab. “She yelled at him, slammed the door and banged on it some more.” Lohan was reportedly escorted back to her room, but after various other escapades, at 5:30 a.m. she was asked to leave the hotel — and checked out at 6:30 a.m.

The Feud continues between Pop tarts Hilary Duff and Avril Lavigne.

Lindsay Lohan Doing Coke

New pictures of Lindsay Lohan participating in a marathon cocaine binge, dubbed Blohan 2007, have surfaced compliments of a British tabloid.

Sordid snaps of Lindsay snorting drugs and shoving it up a pal's nose was taken as she and two friends crammed into a club toilet during a wild night on the town.

Then the Mean Girls star bragged to the others: "I'm going to New York tomorrow to fuck Jude Law."

Now a friend of the 21-year-old actress says she is spiralling out of control since rehab and revealed that Lohan:

SNORTED 20 lines of cocaine in one night alone.
STRIPPED down to a thong before inhaling the drug off a coffee table.
BRAGGED of wild sex sessions with a host of celebrities including singer James Blunt and model Calum Best.

The friend added, “Lindsay does not care who sees her do coke and where she does it.” And she has not managed to stay off the booze either.

“She carries round a water bottle to try to fool everyone into thinking she is clean but she tips the water out and refills it with vodka and soda.”

But she was caught out by a secret film made as she snorted the Class A drug at the exclusive Teddy's nightclub in Hollywood's Roosevelt Hotel.

The video shows her arriving at 11pm and skulking round the toilets before creeping inside a cubicle. Wedged inside the loo with two friends, Lohan pulls a small bag of white powder from her jeans pocket. She dips her finger in and shoves the substance up one friend's nose before snorting some up her own. And this was filmed just 20 days after she proudly emerged from therapy.

Lindsay, who starred with Jamie Lee Curtis in Freaky Friday, booked herself into the £20,000-a-month Wonderland treatment centre in Los Angeles earlier this year saying she wanted to get off booze. She checked out after a month and was back doing drugs at a Hollywood party within a week.

Her friend said, “That night I saw her do more than 20 big lines of cocaine. She was still up doing drugs at 11am even though she had started about 8pm the night before! She wasn’t even trying to hide it and was blatantly doing it off table tops, keys, books and in the wardrobe, where she was hunched over with her legs crossed almost bent in half doing it off some magazine on the floor.

She continues, “I remember looking at her and thinking how pathetic she looked and how out of control she had become. When she is on coke, which is most of the time, all the attention has to be on her. I have lost count of the number of times I have watched as she stripped naked in front of everyone. Then she loves to check herself out in the mirror as she parades around with her boobs hanging out. One night we had gone back to her place and, as always, as soon as she walked through the door she stripped down to her thong, bent down and snorted cocaine off her coffee table and then off her toilet seat."

But Lindsay is not only addicted to booze and drugs, she is also hooked on sex with some of Hollywood's hottest men, says the insider.

“She has told me that she has slept with James Blunt, Jude Law, Calum Best, Joaquin Phoenix, Benicio Del Toro, Jared Leto and James Franco," admitted the friend.

“She loves Brits and has told me she has slept with the singer James Blunt a few times over the past month. The last time was on April 15 after another house party. I think they went back to a hotel together afterwards. She is very protective over him and when she heard I had met him she sent me a text saying, 'Stay away from him Bitch, he is mine.'”

“Lindsay told me she has messed around with Leonardo DiCaprio a while ago too but claimed that she didn't sleep with him. She also flew to New York about two months ago to go to bed with Jude Law.”

She added, “Last November she slept with Calum Best. She didn't tell me if he was any good but she is usually too wasted to know what is going on anyway.”

Lindsay was living it up with old pal Paris Hilton at the Coachella music festival in Palm Springs last week and almost falling out of her dingy grey bra top. In public Lindsay insists she is sober but, as our video stills show, she is still a hopeless addict and her friend claims the stint in therapy was just a stunt.

She said, “Going to rehab was all for publicity. She wanted people to see her seeking help but it hasn't got her off the drugs at all.”

In an average night Lindsay will do two and half grams of coke on her own.

“She doesn't buy it - she is given it by friends and acquaintances, and it turns her into an angry monster. I have watched many a time Lindsay treating her staff like crap.”

Her friend is convinced that if she does not tame her wild ways she could meet a tragic end.

“That's why I'm showing this video,” she admitted, “So the world can know what Lindsay has been doing and she can't lie about it to herself or anyone else.”

Before Lindsay Lohan heads for London to start shooting her next movie, Lindsay Lohan is trying to make a new British friend - former Sienna Miller beau Jude Law. Lohan ended up with Law at The Box on Chrystie Street very late on both Friday and Saturday nights, sources say.

Her whirlwind weekend started Friday with dinner at Nobu Next Door before she headed off with her mom, Dina, and former Marc Jacobs boy toy Jason Preston to Stereo, where she greeted her friend DJ AM.

Paris Hilton didn't invite her best friend Kim Kardashian to her 26th birthday party in Las Vegas because she was afraid Kim's sex tape would distract from her. A source says: "She didn't want Kim on the red carpet stealing her thunder." Unfortunately, even the people who were invited didn't show up as she got stood up by A-list celebrities and even her friends.

Sources say there were no names there except her sister, and at one point Paris announced on a microphone that Nicole Richie was "on her way" but Richie never showed up.

Cameron Diaz was seen “canoodling” with Djimon Hounsou [Gladiator and Blood Diamond]at Hyde in L.A. on Thursday night. Cameron recently broke up with Justin Timberlake and dodged rumors she was dating Kelly Slater. Witnesses say that Cameron and Djimon were all over each other.

People reports:
“It looked like the perfect post-Valentine’s Day date,” a patron tells PEOPLE of the pair, who were with several other friends.

“They were totally vibing each other, lip-on-lip action,” says the source. “Cameron looked so happy… Djimon followed her every move.”

Diaz, 34, and Hounsou, 42, hit the dancefloor for Michael Jackson’s “Burn This Disco Out” and Gnarls Barkley’s version of “Gone Daddy Gone,” says the onlooker, adding, “They were dancing really close, bodies pressed together.”

A rep for Diaz says the pair are just friends. “Cameron was out to dinner with friends, they ran into Djimon and he joined them for a drink at Hyde,” says the rep. “They are friends, nothing more.”

A rep for Hounsou did not return calls for comment.

The Hilton sisters are back in Vegas again, and will be there to celebrate Paris’ birthday with ex-flame Stavros Niarchos.

The couple were spotted at the Sony/BMG Grammy after party, getting cozy, kissy, and caressy, but still, E! Online isn't sure about the whole thing. If John Mayer and Jessica Simpson aren't dating, they sure act like they are.


"She's a lovely woman, and I'm glad to be with her," is what he told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet—in Japanese.

And later that night, around 9:15 p.m., Mayer was the third celeb to hit Sony's Grammy after-party at the Beverly Hills Hotel. About a half hour later, Simpson popped in.

Britney Wants To Get Laid

Britney Spears, who seems unaware that she has two infants at home in a closet playing with plastic bags, has been stepping up to the plate like a real champ.

Last night she hit Marquee in New York, and according to Page Six, "was partying like a college girl looking to get laid".

[At Marquee] sources said she was dancing with her girlfriends and "demanded all alcohol be kept far away from her."

But other witnesses weren't buying that.

"She must have been drinking secretly in the bathroom," said one, "Because she was falling all over the place. She was also chomping on lollipops from the bathroom all night, and she didn't leave any money for the bathroom attendant."

Spears' wild night then continued at club Tenjune, where she was seen arriving at 2:30am with a group of friends. "Britney was completely hammered," said a witness.

Again, the tank top-clad party girl asked that no alcohol be put on the table - but clubgoers saw her dancing on the banquettes and "drinking what looked like vodka and O.J."

Later, "A model guy came to her table and she started making out with him."

What is it about Bungalow 8 that makes celebrities get hot, sweaty, and horny? Tuesday night, Mary-Kate Olsen was apparently "weaving around and kept falling off the banquettes she was dancing on," insiders said.

"She made out with three random guys and was wearing a Mardi Gras mask." A rep for the tiny twin noted that she was sober and declined comment.

Las Vegas: Playground To The Stars

HEADLINE stars Kevin Spacey and Kate Bosworth, who are about to start an eight-week shoot of their new '21' movie all around Vegas, did "research" at the Playboy Club at the Palms.

Kevin took a quick walk through, but Kate stayed most of the night playing blackjack and enjoying Dom Perignon champagne and Grey Goose vodka at a reserved booth in the middle of the gaming lounge.

Happy Birthday congratulations to Lisa-Marie Presley, who celebrated her 39th birthday bash over the weekend with mom Priscilla in tow and Roseanne Barr in the party group.

They dined at TAO and then hit the upstairs TAO nightclub watching all the dancing revelers from an upper-deck VIP skybox rather than in the VIP dance floor section. Next night, Priscilla and Lisa-Marie sat up until 2:30AM, sipping cocktails at Caramel ultra lounge in the Bellagio.

Elsewhere, to celebrate four sold out shows at the Luxor this weekend, comedian Artie Lange partied at the Hard Rock's Body English nightclub with co-producer Jeff Beacher and a flock of audience members they'd invited over from his last late show.

Partying with them was Wesley Snipes, Jamie Lynn Sigler, Laura Prepon, Tito Ortiz and Jenna Jameson to name just a few.

Night Life Round Up

IT seems Jessica Simpson has a new sidekick, none other than pint sized pop starlet Christina Aguilera. The two were spotted leaving Hyde on Friday night.

The girls were accompanied by Christina’s Hubby Jordan Bratman and Jessica’s sister Ashlee Simpson. Then while ditching Ashlee, the gang piled into Aguilera’s Rolls Royce Phanton and head off for a private party in Beverly Hills.

Meanwhile, Ivanka Trump, Kim Kardashian, and Tila Tequila were also seen at Hyde this weekend. “The OC” stars Rachel Bilson, Melinda Clarke and Autumn Reeser dined together at Mr. Chow Saturday night, after filming wrapped Friday on the last episode of the series (to air February 22). Also spotted at Chow’s was Shannon Elizabeth, and “Nip/Tuck” hottie Kelly Carlson.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler Makes a Scene

Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler has a knack for picking the wrong guys. Her marriage to her older manager A.J. Discala barely lasted three years, and months later she started dating another older man - New York club owner Scott Sartiano.

Scott used to date Ashley Olsen and has been linked to such lovelies as Lindsay Lohan and Ashlee Simpson to name just a few (He likes 'em young and famous). Jamie-Lynn and Scott were in Sundance at the American Eagle party when they decided to leave and said goodnight to friends.

They were walking toward the exit of the VIP area when Scott's eye was caught by a knockout blonde who had just arrived. The blonde was described as an Eva Mendes lookalike, and Scott stopped DEAD in his tracks as Jamie was pulling him toward the door.

"I don't think I want to leave yet" he said, still STARING at the girl. Jamie couldn't help but notice his ogling, and she insisted "Come ON!" but Scott refused to budge. "Let's stay awhile."

The awkward moment then apparently attracted an audience as Jamie got more and more upset and hissed at Scott under her breath, trying to break the hypnotic spell he was under.

Finally she managed to snap him out of it and drag him away but not before she was publicly embarrassed. Man how much of a douche bag do you have to be to be with a gorgeous babe like Jamie-Lynn and yet still check out other women - and right in front of her!?! Seriouly, this girl can do soo much better.

Nick And Vanessa Cause A Scene

Could there be trouble in Paradise for Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnollo? The couple were at the exclusive Plumm nightclub in NYC last night, where a steamed Vanessa went off on her wandering-eyed boyfriend.

Nick and Vanessa arrived to catch Joey McIntyre's impromtu performance at the club, in which he's a part-owner. At one point, Nick was seen with a Jessica Simpson lookalike sitting in his lap.

As she got up, the buxom blonde bombshell signaled Nick to call her ... with a blatant thumb and pinky phone gesture. Vanessa caught it and and yelled, "What are you doing?" and a stern, "We need to talk!"

Vanessa then bolted outside. Nick followed and hailed a cab. Vanessa jumped in a different cab, leaving Nick standing alone on the sidewalk. He went over to Ness's cab and a heated exchange followed. The couple finally left in the same cab. A spy close to the twosome explained, "Every couple has their spats, they're not going to break up over it."

Hilary Gets Sloppy at Hyde

Hilary Duff was far from her usual goody-two-shoes self on January 25 when she and older sister Haylie showed up at L.A. club Hyde with a huge entourage.

Usmagazine.com tattler tells us that Hilary -- who has been single since splitting in November from Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden (he's currently dating Nicole Richie) -- arrived arm-in-arm with her sis' a little after 11 p.m., looking tipsy.

Hilary, 19, soon was teetering over to the women’s restroom with one of her girlfriends and a "flamboyant" male friend.

“It was kind of inappropriate,” the onlooker sneers. “She was pretty drunk and staggering around the bathroom, bumping into people and shrieking that her gay male friend had a vagina so it was okay for him to be there.”

The sisters continued to party Paris Hilton-style throughout the night at a VIP table, where our source says they were “all over” their two man-dates. Haylie 21, whispered in the ear of her 30-ish-year-old date while kissing his neck. Hilary perched on her date’s lap, laughing and flirting with her own older man.

Says the source: “When I’ve seen Hilary out in the past, she has been relatively composed, but tonight she was acting pretty wild.”

Britney Passes Out on NYE

Seems like Britney's hard-partying ways may finally be catching up with her. The pop princess reportedly passed out shortly after leading a New Year's Eve countdown at Caesars Palace's Pure nightclub in Las Vegas.

At 12:45 a.m., after swigging some champagne and dirty dancing to her own "I'm a Slave 4 U," the party mom "went into a dead faint and just fell right on the floor," reports the New York Post. Her entourage picked her up, shielded her from gawkers with an oversized, hooded poncho and quickly whisked her out of the club. We're guessing this isn't the kind of attention Caesars was expecting when they paid Spears the big bucks to show up at the bash.

Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, claims that "nothing out of the ordinary" happened to Miss Brit. "She was not drunk," he says. "She was just tired and falling asleep."
