Producer Denies Dumping Scarlett Johansson

Producer Emmanuel Bengihy has denied reports that Scarlett Johansson’s directorial efforts in the new movie New York, I Love You were dumped after being deemed “unwatchable”.

Johansson directed Kevin Bacon in her section of the flick, which is a series of love stories all linked together, with ’sources’ telling Page Six, “It was really bad, so it was cut.”

However, Benbihy states that, “Scarlett presented me with an extremely compelling, albeit unconventional, narrative that appeared as though it would not necessarily conform to the overall approach of the entire collective… However, I was very much moved by her vision and I did not want to pass on the opportunity to help her develop it. All that matters to me is the genuine movie language of the author.”

He added, “Scarlett and I nonetheless agreed that a final determination of its appropriateness in the context of the other contributions and the overall story would be best made in the editorial process. And after months of editing… I had to admit that there were editorial decisions to be made in the interest of serving the overall narrative and composition that resulted in previously filmed scenes and footage not getting used.”

Johansson’s directorial efforts will see the light of day once the DVD is released.

Scarlett Johansson Joining Iron Man Sequel

Scarlett Johansson is officially joining the cast of the upcoming Iron Man sequel, signing a deal on Wednesday afternoon (March 11) to play the Black Widow.

“Scarlett is thrilled to be a part of Iron Man” her rep, Marcel Pariseau, told E! News’ Marc Malkin.

Additionally, Variety is reporting that after months of salary negotiations, Mickey Rourke has also signed on and will play the villain Whiplash.

Scarlett Johansson Furious Over Fabricated Cosmo Interview

Scarlett Johansson has blasted the British version of Cosmopolitan, stating a recent interview published by the magazine was “wholly fabricated” and is seeking “legal action”.

In the current edition, Johansson reportedly opens up about her recent marriage to Ryan Reynolds saying, “Ryan and I are in love and we’re enjoying evolving our relationship together.

“I feel that my life and my work are heading in the right direction… We’re like any other couple - we feel so fortunate to be together and so happy to have made this commitment to share our lives.”

Marcel Pariseau, Johansson’s rep, told Perez Hilton exclusively:

“The quotes attributed to Scarlett Johansson regarding her marriage in the UK edition of Cosmopolitan are wholly fabricated. Ms. Johansson has at no point granted UK Cosmopolitan an interview, and she has never discussed her personal relationships with the publication.

In fact, in an interview with US Cosmopolitan given prior to her engagement, (Published August 2008) Ms. Johansson states the following when asked about her relationship “I hate feeling like I have to share my personal life with anybody. So I’ll take the normal celebrity route and just say I’m going to keep my personal life private.

The cover story is an obvious attempt by UK Cosmopolitan to gain monetarily by misinforming their readers. Ms. Johansson, who goes to great lengths to preserve an authentic representation of herself with respect to her fans and the media, is disappointed to see a seemingly reputable publication inexplicably publish a work of fiction at her expense.”

Pariseau adds that Johansson will be seeking “legal action” against the magazine, who is yet to respond to the claims, for their fabricated story.

Scarlett Talks about her new Album?

Scarlett Johansson has spoken out about Hollywood starlets attempting to parlay their fame into musical careers, describing her own musical offering as “low-key” and in no way related to the manufactured pop of her Hollywood bretheren.

"I have no relationship with either Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton, even as far as my lifestyle or the music I listen to,” she says.

“They probably made music that fits with their lifestyle - 'Wouldn't it be great if I were dancing to my own song in the club?' "

Johansson, 23, is confident that her album will be well-received, telling Spin magazine, "My album is more suited to my lifestyle. I live a very low-key life."

Scarlett Johansson has been giving relationship advice to Jessica Biel.

The 'Match Point' star - who has previously been romantically linked to Jessica's boyfriend Justin Timberlake - has been counseling her friend on how to cope with infidelity rumors.

A source said: "Jessica knows she and Justin are happy and there are no problems. But she wanted to get a female perspective on the best way to handle all the rumors about him with other girls.

"Scarlett told her to ignore the speculation and concentrate on the relationship."

Jessica is now hoping Scarlett and her boyfriend Ryan Reynolds will join her and Justin on a double-date.

The source added to OK! magazine: "Jessica has suggested that when she gets back from filming her latest movie 'Easy Virtue' she could teach Scarlett to play golf so they could double-date with Justin and Ryan."

Tom Cruise Creepy List?

A new book by biographer Andrew Morton says that after Tom Cruise briefly dated Sofia Vergara and before he dated Katie Holmes, the person he really wanted to date was Jennifer Garner.

Morton writes that Cruise left messages on the Alias star's voice mail in 2004 asking "if she knew what freedom was," but his advances were rebuffed.

The book also claims Holmes signed a contract to commit to Scientology and that her father brokered a high-paying pre-nup. This account is on the heels on an older article which claims that before Tom met Katie, Tom made a list of names of girls that would be good for his career which included Scarlett Johansson, Kate Bosworth and Katie Holmes.

Funnily enough, Scarlett was actually cast in "Mission: Impossible III" but dropped out when it became clear Cruise was trying to convert/fuck her – taking her to the Scientology center in Los Angeles where he spoke to her for two hours about the cult, and she was apparently even taken to a room where a table full of high ranking scientologists had been waiting to have dinner with them. Creepy. Thankfully, that was when Scarlett took off.

Scarlett Passes On Playing Porn

Despite rampant rumors claiming she signed on to play Jenna Jameson in the film version of her autobiography, Scarlett Johansson said this is completely untrue. Although Jenna admitted to handing picking Scarlett for the role, Scarlett’s rep said it will never, ever happen.

“Scarlett has never seen a script nor been approached about this project,” says a rep for the actress. “She also has no interest in playing this role.”


Speaking at the Comic Con convention in San Diego this weekend, Jameson, 33, said she was smitten with the 22-year-old Johansson after seeing her Golden Globe-nominated turn in the 2003 film Lost in Translation.

“I remember thinking to myself, this girl has such a sexuality without even really trying to be sexy,” Jameson said. “I was like, ‘This girl could play me.’ ”

Though she has met Johansson only briefly, Jameson said the encounter left quite an impression. “I love her,” Jameson said. “She’s amazing. She’s smart, she’s funny. … She’s stunning.”

According to Jenna, the movie version of her book will be called “Heartbreaker,” which is an homage to the tattoo on her ass. And while Scarlett may not be down for the part, a very special girl will be crucial for the role.

“I don’t want someone who’s going to go in there and be like bouncing around,” she said. “I want someone who can bring some depth.”

Scarlett And Ryan Hook Up

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds spent a busy weekend in New York City together.

On Saturday night, the pair were seen getting close at the Manhattan restaurant Odeon. "They were in a good mood," says one eyewitness who saw them laughing and smiling.

"They were definitely holding hands," says another observer. "They were a cute couple!"


Johansson, 22, who is a New York native, and Reynolds, 30, who ended his engagement to Alanis Morissette in February, also spent Easter together.

The pair, who were with a group of pals, arrived at the Carlyle hotel around 4 p.m. Sunday for the $135 prix fixe lunch.

The whole group "was having a blast," says one witness. "It looked like a group of friends. I don't even think they were celebrating Easter."

Reynolds's rep had no comment when reached while Johansson's rep does not comment on his client's personal life.

Johansson recently told Seventeen she's single and not looking for love.

"When I'm single, I don't focus. I focus on a guy if he's a boyfriend, but I don't focus on finding a boyfriend," she said.

Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Biel, both of whom have been linked to Justin Timberlake, were spotted shopping together in Paris yesterday!

They were accompanied by a few other woman, and there is still no word if there was any tention between the two, but I tell you I'd pay just about anything to be a fly on the wall of that conversation.

It's basically the longest music video ever and is the supposed reason Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake broke up. Seeing the chemistry between JT and Scarlett I can see why. I gotta say I actually like this video - it's pretty kick ass.

JT Hooks Up With Johansson?

Despite flying in Jessica Biel for a date at the Sundance Film Festival just two weeks ago, Justin Timberlake is now rumored to be spending more and more time with Scarlett Johansson. The two even spent Superbowl weekend together in Miami.

In Touch weekly says: "They spent the whole weekend together" — who reportedly had a fling after she starred in his video "What Goes Around". They met up at his bungalow in the Delano hotel at around 3:00a.m. on February 4, and later that night the couple were spotted at an exclusive after-party at Mokai.

"They were dancing and whispering in each other's ears," an onlooker says, "They were having a really good time together." At 3:30 a.m. on February 5, the pair then snuck out the back door holding hands and headed back to the Delano for the night.

Although Jessica is still in the picture, an insider added, "Justin and Scarlett are totally back on."

Man, I'm thinking that right now JT is thinking that if this was the amount of tail he was capable of getting (Biel, Milano, and Johansson), he would have broekn off with Cameron ages ago...
